Dateline: January 2, 2006 . Happy New Year to you All! Thank you for checking out Angler's Yak Shack! I am so pleased to finally be open for business. It has been a long struggle, but the wait is finally over. The KayaTankTM is now available to the public and Angler's Yak Shack is open for business!
A few of you have known me and fished with me for years. Many of you met me (and maybe even my family) at the Fred Hall Shows last Spring in Long Beach and Del Mar, and were introduced to the idea of sticking a bait tank inside your kayak. All of you have encouraged me to keep forging ahead and get this business up and running. A couple of you couldn't wait for the business to get up and running, and demanded a KayaTankTM while I was in the midst of getting this business started. It's so hard to say no!
Those of you who know me well, know that while trying to get this KayaTankTM ready for market and start a business in the Kayak Fishing Industry, I also left my second career in the Wind Energy Development and Consulting Businesses in 2003 and married my wife Kara, was blessed with our big boy Dylan in 2004, just before the Fred Hall Shows in 2005, and then blessed again with our sweet little girl Kylee just before the Fred Hall Shows come up again in 2006. It has been a wild and fun ride so far starting a family and a business at the same time! Kara and I keep saying it has only got to get easier from here!
This family business is being started because I want to be able to spend quality time with my family, and do something for my family rather than for someone else, and of course because I love kayak fishing, and because the KayaTankTM is hands down the best bait tank out there, and people keep begging me to make them one.
My goal is to provide you the Kayak Fisherman and Fisherwoman, a great bait tank designed specifically for your kayak that you don't have to worry about, at the best price possible, and provide excellent customer service.
This first year of operation is going to focus on getting as many models designed and produced as possible, as quickly as possible, and satisfying the customers who want the models currently available. Our goal is to have enough stock on hand to be able to ship your KayaTankTM to you the day after you order it, but it is possible that the demand will outrun my stock on hand at times. If this happens we should still be able to ship your KayaTankTM within 5 - 10 business days from the time you order it.
So far every kayak fisherman that has got his hands on a KayaTankTM has loved it. I know that you will too. Get out and have some fun, and I hope to see you on the water this year.
